Alt+1 returns a four-part hint (insight, algorithm, complexity, steps). Alt+2 returns code plus edge cases. We do not promise a fixed latency.

Screenshot a question to answer it, listen continuously when you hear one, or generate hints and code from text you already have. We try to stay off shared screens. That is best-effort, not absolute invisibility.
What it does
Shortcuts are defaults and can be changed in Settings.
Screenshot answers
Alt+3 silently captures a full-height, half-width strip centered on the cursor on the screen under the mouse, then streams an answer. There is no selection overlay.
Continuous listening
Alt+4 starts listening and opens the mic. Space commits the previous sentence without stopping the mic. Role and resume context apply to voice only. This is not always-on dictation or full meeting transcription.

Engineering, product, operations, plus a custom role. The resume stays on your device in this release. No cloud sync.
How people use it
The prompt is already in the editor
Put the problem in context, press Alt+1 for structure, then Alt+2 for code and edge cases, and write it yourself.
The problem is only on a shared screen
Park the cursor on the problem window and press Alt+3. Keep the assistant on a monitor you are not sharing, and avoid dragging it into a full-screen share.
The interviewer asks out loud
Alt+4 to listen, Space to split sentences. Hiding the window or the boss key mutes the mic and drops the buffer.
About staying off screen shares
We use the platform content-protection flag (contentProtected) and try to keep the window out of common screen-sharing capture. This is best-effort: we do not guarantee every conferencing app, OS version, phone camera, or a full-screen share that includes the assistant window. Do not treat it as absolute stealth.

Do I need to pay or add a card to download?
No. Downloads are free. No login and no credit card.
What is the difference between Free, Pro, and Ultimate?
Free (and signed-out) uses DEMO mocks for screenshot, listening, hint, and code. Pro is platform-paid with per-request credits (screenshot 10, utterance 5, hint 3, code 3). Ultimate has more credits and may use your own OpenRouter key. The Chrome extension is not on the platform channel.
Which systems are supported?
macOS Apple Silicon, macOS Intel, and 64-bit Windows. Linux and Windows ARM are not supported.
Why does a Mac screenshot show only wallpaper, or listening pick up no audio?
Grant Screen Recording and Microphone to the packaged InterviewEcho app under System Settings → Privacy & Security, then fully quit and reopen. Steps that check a terminal during development do not apply to the official download.

Is there a Chrome extension?
The site currently offers Desktop only. Do not search extension stores for third-party plugins with a similar name.

No. The mic opens only after you start continuous listening. Hiding the window or the boss key mutes it and drops the buffer.
Does data leave my computer?
Yes. On Pro / Ultimate platform relay, screenshots, audio, prompts, and resume text transit our API to the model provider (OpenRouter). We do not store those contents. Account, subscription, and credit metadata are stored in Turso. Ultimate with a local key talks to OpenRouter directly. The resume still lives in local settings by default.
When can I subscribe?
Sign in and open Billing to buy Pro or Ultimate (list prices show as coming soon until published). A sample session of 2 screenshots + 6 utterances + 2 hints is about 56 credits; your balance is authoritative.
Which Mac build should I download, Intel or Apple Silicon?
Apple silicon → Silicon. Intel processor → Intel. The wrong build may fail to open. Check About This Mac if you are unsure.
